Oprah Adopts A New Puppy From PAWS Chicago!

Our neighbor Oprah Winfrey adopted a new puppy on Sunday March 1, 2009 from PAWS Chicago. Oprah and longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham visited the PAWS adoption center here in Chicago this past weekend and took home a blonde Cocker Spaniel girl puppy. Oprah has been a big supporter of PAWS Chicago since learning about the horrors of puppy mills. She has been educating her viewers by exposing puppy mills, visiting PAWS Chicago, and featuring their state of the art adoption center on her show. In addition, she donated a room in the center to her beloved Sophie, and pledged to adopt her next dog from a shelter. PAWS Chicago (Pets Are Worth Saving) is the city's largest No Kill humane organization, focused on alleviating Chicago's tragic pet homelessness problem. Tails in the City has been a long time supporter of PAWS Chicago. For more information on how you can get involved, visit PAWS Chicago.
